Strategic Hires Strengthen Executive Team as Shibumi Continues Rapid Growth Trajectory

Shibumi, the leader in business transformation, AI investment governance, and strategic portfolio management software, today announced two key appointments to its executive leadership team. John Hilborn joins as Senior Vice President of Growth, and Carr Phillips joins as Vice President of Product Marketing. These strategic additions come as Shibumi experiences continued growth and increased market demand for its software platform worldwide.

“We’re thrilled to welcome John and Carr to the Shibumi team at this pivotal moment in our company’s journey,” said Shibumi CEO Bob Nahmias. “Their combined expertise and proven track records in scaling enterprise software businesses will be instrumental as we accelerate our growth and continue delivering exceptional value to our customers.”

Hilborn joins Shibumi with over 15 years of sales leadership experience in enterprise software, including a decade at Anaplan, where he served as VP of Sales and led the company’s Deloitte Alliance, consistently building and scaling high-performing sales teams that delivered exceptional results. Prior to his work at Anaplan, Hilborn held leadership roles at Hubble, a leading provider of business performance management apps, and began his career at KPMG.

Throughout his career, Hilborn has demonstrated a commitment to customer success, strategic partnership development, and driving sustainable revenue growth.
“I couldn’t be more excited to join the Shibumi team. Between the product, culture, leadership team, customer base, and established partnerships, the opportunity ahead is very bright,” Hilborn said. “As organizations continue to transform and invest heavily in AI, they need a platform more now than ever to drive and measure outcomes related to those investments. Shibumi is well
positioned to lead this space.”

Phillips brings over 20 years of enterprise SaaS marketing experience to Shibumi, having led high-performing product marketing teams across complex, multi-product organizations including Microsoft and SAP, as well as successful startups like Niku and Interos. At Interos, Phillips played a key role in scaling annual recurring revenue (ARR) by 300%. Known for creating new market categories, driving go-to-market strategies, and delivering transformative growth, Phillips excels in messaging, positioning, sales enablement, and customer-focused storytelling.

“Shibumi has established itself as the clear leader in transformation and strategic portfolio management, helping organizations drive visibility, alignment, and results across their most critical business initiatives,” Phillips said. “I’m excited to join this talented team and help accelerate our market momentum in newer areas, including AI investment governance, as we continue to innovate and bring greater value to our customers and partners.”

These appointments reflect Shibumi’s commitment to building a world-class leadership team capable of executing the company’s ambitious growth plans and reinforcing its position as the leader in business transformation, AI innovation, and strategic portfolio management.
